Live DVD Going Into Duplication Process

The first Ras Michael & The Sons Of Negus (Canada) live performance DVD is finished and is going into the duplication process. The DVD has the April 4th performance in Calgary, Alberta at the 2009 Calgary Spoken Word Festival, as well as, video montages from the drum circle that Ras led, the following day, behind the scenes photos from the soundcheck, and various photos of the band members, and each DVD contains a limited edition hand signed photo-postcard of a band member. There will be a pre-order for this DVD, which is available exclusively through Ras' Garden.

Bambalamb! had the chance to catch up with an old friend on Friday evening. Photos from the evening with Roger Steffens, as well as, Bambalamb!'s drum circle at The 2009 Calgary International Reggae Festival, can be viewed in the Photo Gallery.

Live DVD Coming Soon!

The first Ras Michael & The Sons Of Negus (Canada) live performance DVD is nearing the final stages of production. The DVD has the April 4th performance in Calgary, Alberta at the 2009 Calgary Spoken Word Festival, as well as, video montages from the drum circle that Ras led, the following day.

Clothing designs are being finalized and then they will be sent off to the clothing company to be printed onto t-shirts and hooded sweatshirts. Once the product has been received, Ras' Garden will be open to the public.

Ras Website Update

I'd first like to thank everyone for coming out to support the Calgary Spoken Word Festival, and to Sheri-D for being a blessing from Jah, for making it all happen. Playing to 2 sold out shows, and the smiles and vibrations from everyone, was life changing. My Spirit will forever be thankful for this wonderful blessing, that we all share.

Over the next few weeks, Damien will be editing and compiling a DVD of the iconic performance, complete with footage from the drum circle, that will be available exclusively through this website.

We look forward to launching the Ras Store, "The Garden", so stay tuned for more information.

Ras Arrives Tonight!

Ras Michael arrives in Canada for the first time tonight. He will be meeting the Sons of Negus (Canada) for the first time as they rehearse together for the big show tomorrow night. The Sons of Negus have been hehearsing a few times a week using Ras' music as their diving board. They have come up with many variations and extra pieces to songs that even Ras hasn't heard yet.
